Company history

1945,May.

The first president Mr. Sokichi Kimoto founded Toshima Aircraft Machinery Co., Ltd. in Tokyo, Toshima, Chihaya-cho.

The company produced magnetic circuit parts, i.e. yokes.

1949,Oct.

Changed its name to Toshima Manufacturing Co., Ltd.

1971,Mar.

Founded new company, "Toshima Co., Ltd." to produce and sell child toys.

Dec.

Moved to Higashimatsuyama, Saitama

1982,Nov.

Mr. Daisaku Kimoto has been inaugurated to the president post.

1993,Apr.

Built the new building in Higashimatsuyama

Sep.

Founded Materials system division

1994,Sep.

Reinforced sputtering target production facilities

1998,May.

Introduced the sputtering equipment

1999,Apr.

Established MOCVD section

2000,Feb.
